Showers & Lockers
Showers, lockers and changing rooms are available for those planning to spend the day at the park. Locker Rentals are available for $3.00 plus a refundable $5.00 deposit. Showers and changing rooms are located in the main bath houses and the lockers are conveniently located between the men's and women's houses. There are two Family Restrooms available.

Frequently asked Questions
Q: Can I go barefoot on the new climbing wall?
A: No...closed-toe shoes are required. You can wear tennis shoes or surf shoes...and if you forgot them, surf shoes are available in the Thunder Falls Gift Shop.


Q: Why are your prices based on height rather than age?
A: Thunder Falls price structure is based on height due to the fact that anyone under 48'' tall will not be able to enjoy all of the water attractions, causing less entertainment experience and therefore a reduced price.


Q: Do you have a Family Season Pass?
A: Yes, Thunder Falls now offers a Family Season Pass! To learn about Season Passes, please see the Season Pass section of the web site.


Q: Can I bring a picnic basket/cooler into the park?
A: No. Food and/or beverages of any kind, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, baskets, coolers and packages are not permitted inside the park. Thunder Falls offers a variety of food and beverage choices at friendly prices for your convenience.


Q: What are the height restrictions for each slide?
A: Tube Slides: Anyone under 42'' must be accompanied by an adult.
Body Slides: You must be 36'' or taller to use these slides.
Speed Slides: You must be 48'' or taller to use these slides.


Q: Do you provide life vests?
A: Yes, we provide life vests free of charge for the Wave Pool and Lazy River. They are available at the main entrances to the Wave Pool and Lazy River. Anyone under 30'' should wear a Coast Guard approved life vest while using the Wave Pool and Lazy River.


Q: Are there any swimwear/clothing regulations?
A: Yes, appropriate swimwear is required for all water attractions. For the safety of yourself and others, thong swimwear, Speedo briefs, shorts, cutoffs or clothing items with metal fasteners, rivets, zippers or buckles are not permitted.


Q: Can I bring in my own flotation devices?
A: No, Thunder Falls provides US Coast Guard approved life vests free of charge for the Wave Pool and Lazy River. They are available at the main entrances to the Wave Pool and Lazy River. Anyone under 30'' should wear a Coast Guard approved life vest while using the Wave Pool and Lazy River. Personal floats can not be used on any attraction.


Q: Is there an age restriction for entering the water park?
A: Yes, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.


Q: What happens if it rains or storms?
A: Thunder Falls will close due to weather patterns. No rain checks or refunds are issued due to inclement weather. During close-by electrical storms ride operations are suspended temporarily and will resume operation after the storm passes.


Q: What provisions do you have for physically challenged guests?
A: Our facility meets all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.


Q: Do you offer birthday parties?
A: Yes, please contact the Group Sales Department at 248-642-7994 or at groups@thunderfallswaterpark.com to learn more about our birthday party options. More information is also available on the Group Pricing page.


Q: Are there any items that are prohibited from bringing into the park?
A: Yes, anything that can be construed as a weapon or as dangerous is prohibited from the park. Also, thong swimwear, Speedo briefs, alcoholic beverages, food and/or beverages of any kind, glass containers, baskets, coolers and packages are prohibited. Please bring only immediate necessities required for your visit.


Q: What does the cost of admission provide access to?
A: It provides access to all water attractions within the park.


Q: Is the water heated?
A: Yes, the water is heated.


Q: Do you rent towels?
A: Yes, fresh laundered towels are available for rent at Guest Services for $2.00 plus a $3.00 refundable deposit upon return of the towel.


Q: Do you rent lockers?
A: Yes, lockers are available for rent at Guest Services for $3.00 plus a $5.00 refundable deposit upon the return of the locker key.


Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards.


Q: Are pets allowed inside the water park?
A: No, pets are not allowed inside Thunder Falls. The one exception is that "certified aid animals" may be on park grounds if properly restrained. No animals may go on/in any attraction.


Q: Is there smoking allowed inside the water park?
A: Due to Michigan's new smoking law, smoking is no longer allowed in the park or in front of the ticket booths. Smokers must exit the park and smoke in the parking lot.


Q: Do I have to pay for parking?
A: Parking is free of charge for guests of the water park.


Q: Are swim diapers required for children wearing diapers?
A: Yes, swim diapers are required and are available for purchase in the Gift Shop. No disposable diapers are allowed while using the water attractions.
